Taffy & Mint Flourish Workshops

Hi All! I have been busy over the last few days creating more workshop samples. This time it is the Taffy & Mint Flourish Cards and Taffy & Mint Flourish 12x12 SB Layout both created by the very talented Cheryl Devlin. I have enjoyed making these. There is certainly a lot of stamping and blending involved in both workshops.

Start here with a Butterfly Brad - SVC

Hi All! Another challenge today at Stamping Vacation Challenges - this time the theme is - Start here with a Butterfly Brad. The card sample was made by my lovely blog buddy Annemaree, so I had big shoes to fill.
To my horror - I do not own a single butterfly brad! But...... I did find in my search a very large round metal brad and a small butterfly embellishment - hence I put the two together with some Glossy Accents and Viola! This card was a bit out of my comfort zone as I did some bleach stamping, some dry-embossing and my first attempt at an easel card without someone over shoulder. I can tell you that the completed card was not the one that I pictured in my head! Anway, onto the photos!!!!!!

Someone who got a new Pet - SVC

In between feeding and reading stories to Will, I managed to come up with this card for a Stamping Vacation Challenge - Someone who got a new Pet! The card is almost 100% Kaszazz - the congratulations stamp let it down, but it was one that I had from back when Kaszazz was Crafty Kids and they sold Stamp It Stamps.

I am actually going to send this card to my baby brother who got his P's on Monday.  With both of my siblings now on the road - it would be a wise idea to stay as far away from all roads as possible.  LOL - Actually they aren't that bad - but don't tell them I said that.

Materials used are:
4927 Card Essentials - Earth Tones - A5 216gsm (30) - Asst
4156KJ - Best Friends Stamp
4799 - SB Paper - All Boy! - Patch/Stars
4801 - SB Paper - All Boy! - Skate/Stripes
Stamp It - Congratulations Stamp

Animal too big to ride in your Car - SVC

Hi Everybody! Just wanted to share the entry I just made for the Stamping Vacation Challenge - Animal too BIG to ride in your car! I went with a hippo - cause it certainly wouldn't fit in the back of my Forrester - and turned it into a cute baby card. 100% Kaszazz product with a little help from my Cricut.

And of course I couldn't help making a matching envelope using the left over flower cutout from the Hippo.
The ink didn't come out well enough in the photos - but the inside of the card and the envelope both say Welcome Little One!

Materials used are:
SB Essentials 12x12 - 4925 White & 1049 Taffy
SB Bazzill Basics - 4455 Bubblegum (cc), 4399 Romance
9127 Card Pack - A5 250gsm (100) - White
4375KQ - Baby Words Background
4381KN - Adorable Friends Un-Cut Set
TIM27164 - Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
2944 - StazOn - Inkpad - Jet Black

Festive Friday

Hi All, my apologies once again for the lateness of this post. I did start making this week's cards yesterday - but despite my intensive search into all of the unopened boxes, I was unable to find my heat gun to emboss my stamped baubles. I can tell you that no box was left unopened and on a good note I found the missing stapler and it's staples (in two different boxes though) but no heat gun.  So my darling hubbie went out early this morning to buy me a new one!

Once again, these 9 cards started out as a Free Make & Take I ran a couple of years ago and I found the leftover kits whilst I was unpacking - so rather than waste them, I decided to make them up. I have tweaked them a little though and added the green and also the buttons. I am happy with how they turned out, still not sure about the non-traditional Christmas colours though.

Anybody can join in this challenge of making 50 Christmas cards between now and the 1st December, Plus there is some fantastic blog candy on offer too!
Head on over to http://shirley-anne-stampingforjoy.blogspot.com/ and check it out.
Even if you don't join in - Shirley-Anne has a very inspiring blog!

WHOOPS!!!!!

My sincere apologies - but I was attempting to change Keta's new Blog address on the left hand side when I managed to delete them all - my entire Kaszazz Consultants Blog Listing.  I am slowly working on finding all that I can remember - but I will need help with any I may miss.
Please email any Kaszazz Consultants blogs that aren't on my list to braydonandkel@bigpond.com or leave me a message in the comments section.

Festive Friday - 50 Xmas cards by 1st December

Hi All - sorry for the lateness of this post - not a good start when I am already running behind on the very first Festive Friday Challenge. Mind you I think I have excelled myself though - cause I made 9 Christmas Cards plus matching envelopes!!!!!!!!!

I should admit though I taught this card a couple of years ago at a Free Make & Take session and I had 9 pre-cut kits left over, so all I had to do was the stamping and then assemble them.
I now know how Annemaree feels - it is a fantastic feeling knowing that I now have a headstart on my Christmas Cards - leaving me to just get caught up in the Silly Season when it gets here and not to have to find the time to make my cards.

Easter Card Class

Hi All! Just thought I would quickly post a photo of the Easter card I made yesterday at a Stampin Up Demo I went to. My apologies for the card not being straight - but as it is a white card, I had to put another colour behind it so it wouldn't blend into the background.

As much as I enjoyed making the card and looking and playing with some SU products - the highlight was meeting my blogging buddy Annemaree.  She is just as nice in person as she is on her blog and she made me feel so welcome!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge - Humbugs

It's all Annemaree's fault!
Over the last couple of months we have become good blogging buddies - so this morning over my morning cup of tea and blog hop session - I discovered that she had entered into a challenge over at The Lollipop Ladies blog! I just loved her card (check it out at http://emuupagumtree.blogspot.com/) and decided that I should have a go for myself! So after popping over to The Lollipop Ladies blog (click the link on the right side) and doing some reading I was even more determined to have a go.

The Challenge is Humbugs!
So Black & White with sweet stripes!

My version of Black & White with sweet stripes!
I have made this card for my Aunty Kath who had to have her dog Panda put down yesterday!

So I am now hooked and am looking forward to the next Challenge already. The other fantastic thing about The Lollipop Ladies Challenges is that they are fortnightly - so plenty of time to get the creative juices flowing and not to mention be able to win some fantastic prizes!

Stay tuned - cause I have also accepted another of Annemaree's challenges of Festive Five Friday - where you make 5 Christmas cards each week to get a head start for Christmas! What a clever little duck she is!
