Monkey Challenge #57: They Say It's Your Birthday!

Hello Everybody!

I really struggled with putting this card together for the A La Card Monkey Challenge - despite having a sketch and brief (see below) and not to mention some fantatic samples from the DT team and the other challenge entries to look at - it took me nearly all day long.

Anyway, this card was far from what I had imagined in my head and is probably the most girly girl card I have ever made. Once again the photo doesn't do it justice as it is a very textured card with the distress edges and the white mat on the background being crumbled.

Materials used are:
4400 SB Bazzill Basics 12x12 - Petunia
4399 SB Bazzill Basics 12x12 - Romance
4925 SB Essentials 12x12 - White
4374 Sticky Bling - Flourish
1655 - Sticky Bling - Fancy Flourish
1612 - Ribbon 25m - 1/4" Organdy - Pink
71053 ColorBox Fluid Chalk Inkpad - Berrylicious
Make A Wish Stamp - Retired from Crafty Kids
Kraft Card & Envelope from my stash

I know I have made this as a birthday card and I think it would be suitable for any little girl in that instance - but to be honest I am actually thinking of giving it to Charlotte when she completes her Confirmation in a few weeks.

Cheers!

You did a great job following the sketch card, Shame we can't see all the details, but scans and pics never capture the card properly.
