A very busy Week.....

Hello! I have been sooo busy for the last week - please bear with me for all that I have to show!

Firstly there were the Easter gifts I made for the kids to give their friends, teachers and bus driver.

These were for Will to give out to the kids at Playgroup. Nice and simple an egg in a patterned celophane bag.

I made these cute lolly stick rabbits for Charlotte to give out at school - all 40 of them - which is the entire school.

I used my fav - the Create A Critter Cart and cut the bunnies out but using the shadow feature so they had thicker whiskers. I also cut the bellies out of paper but the inner ears and the facial features were all added in with pen. I brought the celophane tubes from a lady on EBay - who had a Santa on the top of hers as an example. I was going to put M&M's into them - until I worked out exactly how much it was going to cost.

These were the cute Chicken Egg Cup Cosies I made for Charlotte's teachers and her bus driver!
I can't remember the site I found these cuties on - I do know it was American though!

Then there was the Easter Bonnet that I made for Charlotte for her School Easter Bonnet parade yesterday!

My Mum used to make this exact style of bonnet for me in my Primary School days, so I have carried the tradition over for Charlotte

I definately have gotten my money out worths out of the Create A Critter cart. I would highly recommend this one to every Cricut Owner!

My very first Blog Award!

Hi All! Guess what I have received my very first ever blog award from the very lovely Fi from Creative Kaszazz Butterfly. You can check out her blog at  http://creativekaszazzbutterfly.blogspot.com/

I can't tell you all how honoured I feel that I have received an award - it makes me go all warm and fuzzy knowing that there is at least one person out there who thinks I am worthy of such award and that my blog is worth reading.

This award was created for bloggers who have fewer than 300 followers, but who put a lot of love and heart into their work. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others.

As a recipient of this award I must share the love and pay it forward by:
1. Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award and reveal your 3 - 5 blog picks.
2. Let those people know you have chosen them.
3. Copy and past the blog award onto your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will rally and show their crafty love back out to those you awarded.
5. Finally - Have Fun!!!!!!

Choosing only 3 - 5 worthy blogs isn't as easy it is should be - but I have finally choosen:

1. Annemaree - from http://emuupagumtree.blogspot.com/
She is a good blog buddie of mine and now a dear friend and is also very creative!

2. Shirley-anne - from http://shirley-anne-stampingforjoy.blogspot.com/
I just love her cards and not to mention the 50 Christmas Cards by 1st Dec Challenge!!!!!!

3. Alicia - from http://aliciascreativespace.blogspot.com/
Alicia is a fellow Kaszazz consultant and is the sole reason why I started my blog. She is so creative.

4. Belinda - from http://bwokie.wordpress.com/
This lady creates some gorgeous cards and is very inspiring. Belinda is also a fellow Kaszazz Consultant.

And last but certainly not least......

5. Tania - from http://tanscreationsjournal.blogspot.com/
Another very creative and talented fellow Kaszazz Consultant.

Please go and check out these ladies blogs and share a bit of blog love around. I am sure you will find their blogs just as inspirational as I do.

School Easter Raffle - Boxed Card Set

Me again! This time with a boxed card set that I created for our School Easter Egg Raffle.  There were two reasons why I went with cards - Firstly I figured everybody would be bringing in an egg and secondly  it was a cheaper option for me to use materials that I already had at hand. Does that make me sound cheap and stingy?

All products are Kaszazz with the exception of the Hoppy Easter and Bunny rabbit Stamp.  And of course I used my Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge. There are five cards and five envelopes in this box set and I have to laugh cause it took me longer to cut out and assemble the 6 rabbits then it did to make the box.

I am also planning to enter this one into the Stamping Vacation Challenge - Occasion Oasis Challenge - Easter.

Edited 9 April 2011 - Our name was drawn out of the hat third and we won a huge basket full of Easter Eggs, coffee cups and some yummy hot chocolate sachets!!!!

Farwell Card

Hi All! I was asked by our School P&C President to create a card for our current Principal who is leaving us after just one term as she has accepted a permanent Principal position in another school. Many of the parents have dubbed her as a "Mary Poppins" - she breezed into our school, worked her magic and then is breezing back out again. So I was given free creative rein with the exception of - if possible the card was to have an Umberella on it and it needed to be big enough for 36 children to write on it!

Thank God for Google! I stumbled across this site http://cinemasaturdaycreativechallenge.blogspot.com/2009/05/cinema-saturday-creative-challenge-30.html and found the perfect card to work from.  So I can't take credit for creating this card - just for making it and even then I had the help from my Little Sis who is up visiting at the moment.

The quote says - "Ïn every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and - SNAP - the job's a game!" which was taken from the movie.

I have used a lot of bits and pieces for this card - the dot paper and the pearl antique brad are from Kaszazz, the image and quote came from google and I just printed it out on copy paper, the rosette was from the pressie that Annemaree gave me and I have no idea where red/black or red glitter bazzill, flower or ribbon came from.

Hopefully the card is what the President was hoping for and more importantly that the Principal loves it.

I am also going to enter this into the Stamping Vacation Challenge - Embellish It Challenge - Glitter.

A Simple Boy's card!

Hi All,  Just thought I would quickly post a picture of a card I made this morning for the little fellow across the road who turned 6 today.

Nothing special used at all - just lots of Bazzill from my scrap stash, a black pen and my Create A Critter cartridge on my Cricut.  This cartridge seems to by my favourite at the moment, as I am currently working on two more projects that are using this cart as well.

A pressie for ME!

I got a pressie, I got a pressie, I got a pressie - hey - hey - hey - hey (think the tune from I've got a pickle out of The Little Rascals).

I met up with my good pal Annemaree for lunch this past Saturday at The Greenhouse Tavern in Coffs! Well what can a say, great atmosphere, great food and fantastic company. Anway, Annemaree gave me a totally awesome present that is so practical and so up my alley!

I got a box.........

filled with lots of rosettes and some black lace!

A close up of just some of the many rosettes!

I am so grateful for this gift - cause previously I had been making my own rosettes by hand and I can assure you it was not a pretty site.

I did give Annemaree a really cute gift - but I forgot to take any photos - so you will have to hop on over to her blog  http://emuupagumtree.blogspot.com/2011/04/gifty-from-kelly.html to check it out.

Pinkie's Birthday Presents

Hi All! Well I think it is safe to make this post now as my good friend Pinkie should have received her birthday parcel either on Friday or today at the very latest.
It was nothing fancy, lots of cow stuff for her office - as I was trying to keep the parcel light to avoid a hefty postage fee. The items I made are below - but there were also some other bits and pieces as well.

This is the card I made! I should point out that like me - Pinkie is black & white cow crazy!

I made her this cute little post-it note holder using an acrylic photo frame.

And finally I made her an extra large cow to stick on her office wall.

I used my Create A Critter catridge for these projects with the cow on the card cut out at 3" and the extra large wall cow cut out at 5 1/2". I can't take the credit for coming up with the cute post-it note holder idea - I found it on Carla's blog - http://thesouthernstamper.blogspot.com/
I hope you enjoyed my creations!

Word Verification on Comments

Hi All, Just a really quick post to let you know that I have now turned off my Word Verfication thingy on the Comments section.  I know I get deterred from commenting when I go to comment on other people blog's and only today thought to go and have a look at what mine does when people comment.  So with a bit of luck I might get some more comments now - as I cherish each and every one of them.
Thanks and have a great day - Kel

Festive Friday

Me again - this time with two Christmas cards for Festive Friday which have actually been completed on Friday for a change! Mind you I should fess up - these cards are super super simple and I had already made the two Reindeer embellishments for some Christmas treat boxes a few years back now. All products with the exception of the ribbon are retired products from Crafty Kids (now Kaszazz) that I had collected over the years. The ribbon was brought somewhere along my travels. Anyway to the cards.......

So that should bring my Christmas Cards up to a total of 20 so far!

Don't forget to go over and check out Shirley-Anne's blog at http://shirley-anne-stampingforjoy.blogspot.com/ or simply click the Christmas Tree picture on my side bar. Shirley is offering some very fat free blog candy - the challenge is just to create 50 Christmas cards by Dec.

Also check out my good pal, Annemaree's blog http://emuupagumtree.blogspot.com/ as she has just created some really cute Christmas Tree patchwork cards today.

Missed the Challenge Deadline

Hi All! I thought I would quickly share this card with you. I was making it for the Stamping Vacation Challenge - The Rose but due to a round of tummy bugs in our house, I missed the deadline only finishing it today.

I am really happy with how this card has turned out. All Kaszazz products used and I even had a go at using the masking technique. My photo does not do the card any justice as I have used metallic chalks to colour the rose in - so it has a lovely shimmer to it. The sentiment says - A Moment in Time! I have even inked the ribbon!
